While Daniel was brought into Systemethix to get our Southern Australia business going, he also has many skills that are already being sought by the other geographies. Apart from his technical skills, He brings with him many attributes - teamwork, passion, efficiency and the ability to approach projects with an open mind.
Daniel is an experienced IT evangelist who has worked in various roles in delivery, project, pre-sales, sales and consulting in over 15 years in the industry, recently focusing on virtualisation and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure. Throughout his career, Daniel has gained a diverse range of experience and knowledge across all IT fields, with a particular focus on Data Centre infrastructure.
Daniel has developed strong interpersonal skills that have enabled him to better meet his client's requirements. Working across ANZ he has used these skills to build lasting relationships with many colleagues and customers - a true trusted advisor.
Daniel applies this customer-first ethos in the pre-sales stage of projects, as was highlighted in a project with an entertainment/hospitality organisation.
There was a lot of competition for the contract, so Daniel took the time to listen to the customer and identify the critical applications that needed to be addressed.
Old legacy applications meant there were a lot of constraints. Daniel and his team were able to build a platform underneath that took away all the risk around resiliency.
That way they were able to build the resilience into the infrastructure, rather than applications, which put Daniel and his team on the technical front foot to win the contract.
Another example of Daniel’s teamwork and passion was working on a large banking customer in ANZ, Daniel was presented with a huge challenge where he was tasked to deploy a large percentage of an entirely new IT infrastructure platform for the bank. Daniel took this task by the horns and built an efficient and highly skilled team the was able to work together through many challenges and a constantly evolving requirement landscape to successfully deliver this platform and provide significant efficiency increases tied to revenue to the bank.
In the final example of putting these customer skills into practice and showing his diversity in ICT experience came with a project involving a major hospitality organisation.
The challenge was that they had inherited a poor wireless deployment that did not provide what was required for the customer and the business. Over the period of 12 months, Daniel led a project that fixed this deployment and expanded the footprint within this company.
Daniel breaks away from the daily grind by enjoying all sports primarily horse racing and football (Soccer) spending time with his family and exploring the endless supply of great food in Melbourne.
